What We Do
Northwest Metal Products is a Grand Rapids, Michigan-based fabrication shop with more than four decades in the business. We make custom metal furniture, decorative accent pieces, signage, and fabricated parts, and we ship them everywhere. Northwest Ohio sits in the same industrial corridor we do, one state line south.
That shared geography shows up in the work. A good share of what leaves our shop goes to companies that make things themselves: manufacturers who need a metal component they don’t produce in house, fabricators with more work than floor space, and product developers moving a design from print to first article. Are you based in Toledo?
No. Our shop is at 2055 Walker Court NW in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and it has been since 1978. Toledo is 185 miles away, a drive of under three hours, which makes Northwest Ohio one of the closer markets we ship to. If a project calls for a face-to-face conversation, that’s a distance we can cover.
Do you ship to Toledo?
Yes, regularly. Finished pieces are crated and shipped by freight to your plant, warehouse, showroom, or job site. Because the run is short, freight to Toledo tends to cost less and move faster than most of our shipments. Shipping gets quoted along with your project, so you see the full number before you order.
Can I come see the shop?
Yes. We’re a working production facility, so visits are by appointment. If you’re heading up to West Michigan or want to make the drive from Toledo, reach out and we’ll set something up.
Can I bring my own design?
